I Truly believe in the Latin proverb “necessity is the mother of invention.” Ever since I was young, I’ve always worked with my hands. Whether it was fixing something or building another thing, I’ve always tried to create solutions to the problems that I faced. Throughout High School and College, I refined and built upon my skills to the point that I was able to create more professional, complex solutions. When I entered the industry as an engineer, I finally got to see how well-crafted solutions could make a big impact on everything from the quality of a part to the happiness of the operator making it.

One thing that I didn’t like was the barrier to entry for someone to acquire solutions like the ones I was designing. I remembered how most of the hardest projects I’ve ever had to complete involved repeatedly making something. Advancing as a maker, craftsman, or even a small-scale manufacturer becomes nearly impossible without obtaining outrageously expensive equipment and resources.

It was from this realization that I started Duffy Technologies, a culmination of accessible tools for anyone from the hobbyist woodworker to the corporate manufacturing floor. Every product that Duffy Technologies offers is designed and manufactured with the customers needs at the forefront because I believe that the accessibility of resources should never be the barrier stopping someone from turning their great ideas into reality.
